public class TcpProxy
extends org.lsst.ccs.framework.Module

These modules act as proxies to other part of the application that can communicate through TCP-IP. The communication protocol is rather simple

• There is on the module a TCP server that listens to connection
• client code connects and registers a name for the client
• under that name the server creates a thread that maintains a Socket with this client. if the Socket is broken, the client is deregistered and a Status/LOG is sent
• Methods:
  • call(client,String args)a an ACK is sent to requester, by the subsystem A text response is synchronously waited for and is sent back to requester. the Strings are sent/read as ISO-8859-1
  • close(client) closes the context of this client (thread, task queue)
  • shutdown closes the server
  • restart restart server
